Which fats is good for our body and which one is bad?



We have been always told that if you want to reduce your weight then don’t eat food that contain fat. But now it has been proven that fat is essential for good health. Don’t get shocked!! Actually there are two types of fats, good fat and bad fat. Bad fat cause obesity, increase cholesterol and heart diseases while good fat provides energy, glowing skin and improve our overall health. So how will you know which fat is good for you and which one is bad? Let’s discuss.


What are good fats?
There are two types of good fats one is monosaturated and another is polyunsaturated fats. These fats are considered good because they are good for our health. Foods that contain monosaturated fats are olive oil, avocado, nuts, fish and polysaturated fats include vegetables, wheat germ, fish oil, soymilk etc. We should eat good fats daily as they provide us many health benefits. 

What are bad fats?
There are two types of bad fats one is saturated fat and another is trans fats. These fats are considered as bad because they increase cholesterol level and risk of heart disease. Sarurated fats include meat, chicken, cheese and trans fats include pizza, cookies, fried food etc.
So instead of avoiding fats completely, try to replace bad fats with good fats.
