It is very difficult to avoid late night food craving. If you are eating a very light snack to fulfil your craving then it is ok but there are certain foods that you really should avoid eating late night. If you don’t want to turn and toss all the night that avoid following foods:
Pasta: Pasta is the worst food choice that you can make for late night eating. It contains high calories that will convert in to fat when you eat and go to sleep right after eating. So avoid it.
Ice cream: Ice cream may be the most comforting food for you but is not good for your health if you eat it at late night. First, ice cream is full of fats and sugar and eating it before going to bed won’t give your body a chance to burn the fat. Second its high sugar contents boost up your stamina which prevents you from sleeping.
Alcohol: Many people have this misconception that alcohol gives you a good sleep but it is not entirely true. Alcohol actually disturbs the sleeping cycle.
Coffee: Coffee contains caffeine which wakes up your nervous system and does not let you sleep. Moreover by drinking coffee you need to rush to loo after every hour which will also disturb your sleep.
